History
In 2003, The Bastards; then just Amos, Victor and Peter, set out to bastardize the world.
After honing their set for six months they went to the streets of Europe seeking acceptance and beer money.
Peter and Amos started in Rome and met up with Victor in Berlin. After playing the streets, parks and clubs of Berlin
they were invited to play at a Technical Arts High School's graduation ceremony (I'm serious) and then it was on to
a Festival in Murhardt in Southern Germany. The last leg of their Euro-tour led them to the Gothic quarters of
Barcelona where they wowed tourists and locals alike with their inane interpretations of songs that nobody could recognize.
After returning to SF in the Fall of 2003 they started booking dates at local bars and coffee shops; but something was missing.
After a soul searching retreat to their mother's house over Thanksgiving 2004 the missing link revealed itself: their unbeknownst brother
Ted. After much handshaking, cribbage games and tears they agreed that three would become four.
In The Winter of 2005 Peter was drafted. That's right he was conscripted to join the band, The Beez, in Berlin (They were the band that invited
us to play at the festival in Murhardt.) In September 2006 Victor started an MFA at UC Davis and in January 2007 Amos moved to Sin City to be a clown! The future is uncertain,
but The Bastard Brothers will not abandon their mission: to bastardize the canon of popular and indigenous music to the best of our ability.
